High Scorers: 10 x 12 ( D'Oerba, Ace, Is Death) What's that smell? I think someone's pants are on fire. This was a lovely (10) "Tropical House" was getting tired by this point, but this song took it and perfected it. I love the way it keeps subtly exploding in the background, creating a really lush atmosphere that somehow reminds me of being on a hot summer's day just before a storm. The tropical production really suits the song and works with Britney's vocals and the sentiment of the song. Britney, sounds absolutely beautiful on this song, she sounds like she really means what she's singing, you feel like you're having a heart to heart conversation with her, she sounds so raw and vulnerable, yet also quietly strong. I've struggled a lot with my own mental health and sometimes you just need someone to love you, and not do anything else, while you try and get your shit together, like you know you can, just need a little reassurance. Lyrically, I've always really connected with this song. Nothing particularly bad or overly great about (10) This is just so lush. ‘Just Luv Me’ is a jewel in the much-studded crown that is (8) It's solid. It’s a sentiment that no doubt resonated with Britney, a more grown-up lyric that speaks from the wisdom of experience. The lyric keeps it ‘simple, real simple’ as Britney requests nothing more from her partner than his love. Britney’s vocals are perfect, skimming the production with a feather-light touch. While it's decent, it just pales in comparison with the rest of the (10) A sophisticated, icy midtempo that sounds like a tropical house bop played at half-speed. This is maybe the closest it comes to it. Her performance is just lovely - so earnest and vulnerable - and thematically I think this song feels both a bit more mature and universally relatable than Make (8) The production on this is gorg, but it doesn't really go (2.5) For me, there's almost no filler in Glory. I wish they had kicked off the album campaign with it - radio would have eaten this up at the time. Imagine Diane Lane strutting through the park while Britney plays over (10) Much as I enjoy Make Me, Just Luv Me has always felt like the missed opportunity from Glory. (10) This song makes me feel like I’m Diane Lane in an autumn NYC-based romcom, wistfully strolling through Central Park thinking about The One, cloaked in a chunky cardigan, pumpkin spice latte in hand.

It just sounds so full and flourished and I love (9) Britney channelling Revival-era Selena (she's spanish and she's a baby). I didn't know this was in contention for lead D'Oerba (9.5) So lush, everything about it. Slinky, sexy mid tempo pop is so effortless with her. I dig (10) Like a sister to Make Me and can see why it was hard to decide between these 2 for the fidst single. (8.5) It's missing "something" to really make it pop and be a Classic Britney tune, but it's still a really sexy, groovy tune. It is definitely that generic tropibop sound but there's something that takes it to the next level, I think it's the laid back sexy vocals.

My thoughts: This has always been one of the stand outs for me on this album. It was written by Magnus August Høiberg (Cashmere Cat), Daniel Omelio (RoboPop) and Julia Michaels, and produced by Cashmere Cat, RoboPop and Mischke.
